Ännu mer som stryker det faktum som tagits upp tidigare, är man högt upp i den sociala hiearkin = mindre stress = mycket mer attraktiv.

Scientist studies baboons for 20+ years studying their social habits
-They have a social hierarchy just like humans do
-The most dominant baboons have first dibs on food and chicks... they get laid whenever they want
-The subordinate baboons of course are relegated to the "leftovers" and do not get laid whenever they want
-Blood samples are taken from dominant and subordinate baboons
-Dominant baboons have very low levels of stress hormones
-Subordinate baboons have very HIGH levels of stress hormones
-The dominant baboons live longer.... why?
-Being under stress literally breaks down your DNA... when you feel like a beta, your "telomeres" at the end of your DNA strands whither away, harming you AND your genes!
-The dominant baboons have wide open arteries whereas the beta ones are all closed up and tight
-Brain scans are done of dominant and subordinate baboons
-Dominant baboon have very active pleasure centers of the brain... they light up bright when stimulated... lot's of dopamine receptors
-Subordinate baboons have very dull pleasure centers... do not light up bright... few dopamine receptors
-Successes do not register as strong a pleasure response in the brain of the betas, meaning dominant baboons are MORE motivated to take chances to acquire success than subordinate ones are
-Woman scientist is shown and she believes that stress hormones affect weight distribution
-Subordinate (beta) baboons are FAT AS FUCK... because of stress hormones, they put on more fat around the abdomen...they show a FAT-ASS betamale baboon... I laughed so hard
-The connection is made to humans...subordinate humans experience stress due to their beta social status
-The stress causes ulcers, heart disease, withers your DNA, kills off brain cells, suppresses your pleasure centers, and yes, causes you to put on fat around the mid-section
